In the summer 2002, I did a series of water paintings or pond paintings. The
Pecos River, my little pond in my garden, and the on-going drought inspired the paintings. I actually put another painting, the "Raindance," into a frame and hung it in the gallery and two days later we had the first rain in months! So I thought to do some more water painting (the paintings are often like a prayer - to bring in the light or in this case the rain), and this piece is part of the series.
